Cape Florida Lighthouse
Built in 1825 and the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County, the lighthouse anchors the southern tip of the island within Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.
An island guide — the climate, the courses, and the case for a private simulator club on Crandon Boulevard.
Key Biscayne is a slender barrier island just off the coast of Miami — four miles long, less than two wide, and reached by a single causeway lifted high enough to feel ceremonial. It is, in every sense, a small place that has chosen to remain so.
For golfers, the island is best known for Crandon Golf at Crandon Park, a public oceanfront course that has long been considered one of the most beautiful municipal layouts in the United States. To the south, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park draws walkers and cyclists to the foot of the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse — Miami-Dade's oldest standing structure. Between these two anchors lies a quietly residential village that values its calm above almost everything else.
It is, in other words, an unlikely setting for a high-tech golf studio. And that, for us, was precisely the point.
South Florida's climate is generous in winter and demanding the rest of the year. From May through October, afternoon storms roll in on a near-daily schedule, summer temperatures regularly exceed ninety degrees, and the humidity is a meaningful adversary on its own. Even Key Biscayne's most committed golfers find their range time abbreviated by weather they cannot reasonably plan around.
Indoor golf, properly done, removes the variable of weather without dimming the pleasure of the game. At GOLFOS LAB, two Foresight Sports simulator bays sit inside a climate-controlled studio. The light is consistent. The temperature is comfortable. The lie is always perfect, the wind always still, and the round always finishes on time.
Members tell us the difference shows in their golf within a season. We are inclined to agree.
The Lab sits within easy reach of the island's most beloved places. A morning at the beach. An afternoon on the simulator. An evening on the village.

808 acres of beach, hammocks, and tennis courts at the island's north end — and home to Crandon Golf, one of the most scenic public courses in the country.
A quiet, residential community of roughly thirteen thousand. Restaurants, cafés, and small shops line Crandon Boulevard within walking distance of the Lab.
The high causeway that connects the island to Miami — a four-mile drive that feels like a small departure. Members are typically through the door within fifteen minutes of Brickell.
The discreet retail courtyard at 907 Crandon Boulevard that houses the Lab. Easy parking, easy entry, and a welcome sense of being slightly tucked away from the boulevard.
Just north across the second causeway — a quieter island still, with miles of trails, beach, and the Miami Marine Stadium. A favorite warm-up walk before a morning session.
Key Biscayne rewards those who slow down. The Lab was built in that same spirit — a quiet room, a great game, and as much time as you'd like to spend on it.
From mainland Miami, take the Rickenbacker Causeway east. Once on Key Biscayne, continue south on Crandon Boulevard for approximately two miles. The Lab is located inside L'Esplanade Mall at 907 Crandon Boulevard — a small open-air shopping plaza on the west side of the road. Parking is complimentary and rarely an issue.
Members are welcome to bring their own clubs, though loaner sets are available on request and at no charge. Soft-soled shoes are appreciated; spikes are not necessary. The studio is climate-controlled to roughly seventy-two degrees year-round, so a light layer is occasionally welcome on warm afternoons.
Members enjoy twenty-four hour access through a secure entry system. Non-members and prospective members are welcome by appointment, typically scheduled between nine in the morning and seven in the evening. We are happy to arrange tours, trial sessions, and private viewings on request.
Travelers staying on Key Biscayne — or in the broader Miami area — are welcome to inquire about short-term access. Hotel concierges and property managers in the village are familiar with the Lab and can help arrange a session. Please reach out a few days in advance where possible; the studio is small and our calendar tends to keep good company.
